CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The Members of East Coast Credit Union and Heritage Credit Union have voted in favour of amalgamation of their respective organizations. This will position East Coast Credit Union as the largest credit union in Nova Scotia and a leader in the provincial co-operative movement. The amalgamation includes all 13 East Coast Credit Union branches and all 7 Heritage Credit Unions branches with combined assets of $310 million and will employ over 185 staff members at varoius work locations and branch offices.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you are a take-charge executive who will provide the leadership and strategic direction necessary to support the Credit Union’s growth and expansion into new products and services. You are forward thinking and have considerable experience in the formulation of strategic initiatives and the execution of operating plans required to achieve the goals formulation of strategic initiatives and the execution of operating plans required to achieve the goals and objectives established by the Board. A very thorough understanding of the management issues surrounding the day-to-day operations of a financial services organization complements your strategic abilities.
You are an energetic professional with an undergraduate business degree with continueing senior level course work or equivalent, accompanied by a minimum of 5-10 years experience in an executuve management or professional capacity within the financial sector. Experience within the credit union system is considered an asset. In addition to your senior level experience, you are bondable and have execptional interpersonal, team building, and relationship building skills. You demonstrate professionalism and exceptional commnication, organizational and analytucall skills.
