Patsy MacLean will be the guest speaker at Sigma Theta Tau's (a nursing honour society) Armstrong Atlantic State University Chapter's Distinguished Lecture Series on November 15.

This invitation is no surprise.  Patsy is a nurse lawyer, who has served in a variety of management positions in the health sector ranging  from Utilization Management Coordinator, and Assistant Director of Nursing, to acting Executive Director of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, PEI.  She has also risen through the ranks of legal service in the Government of PEI culminating in her appointment as Assistant Deputy Attorney General, and later, Deputy Attorney General.  These experiences give Patsy a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the health care.

Patsy continues to contribute the nursing profession by being a presenter on nursing ethics and management issues to nursing associations and  nursing students.  She also continues to work on a number of projects involving the health sector, primarily in the area of strategic policy and planning, and facilitation.
