
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Serving as the principal advocate for immigrants and refugees settling in P.E.I., the PEI Association for Newcomers to Canada (PEIANC) is seeking an Executive Director. Reporting to the Board President, the successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling the mandate of PEIANC in working with government, educational institutions, business and community organizations to ease a smooth and lasting transition of newcomers to PEI’s life and culture.
PEIANC seeks an individual whose collaborative and consultative approach to conducting business is respected by others. This position requires excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and advocacy skills, including the ability to effectively oversee day-to-day operations, a staff of over 20, financial integrity, fundraising and program development and delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a University degree preferably with major studies in human or social sciences combined with progressive management experience. Your track record speaks to your ability to build relationships and develop strong networks with residents of the community, the private sector, representatives from all three levels of government, and other key stakeholders. Experience in the not for profit sector as an employee or member of a Board is an asset.
