The Wind Energy Institute of Canada is an independent non-profit organization that supports the development of wind energy related products and services for Canadian and export markets.

PROJECT ENGINEER

Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing operation of testing and technology development projects. For further job details on this position, please visit www.weican.ca.


As the ideal candidate, you will have a degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Wind Energy Engineering, or a University degree in Engineering with appropriate experience in electrical, mechanical and instrumentation design and implementation.  Masters or PH.D in Engineering an asset.  You must be knowledgeable in relevant CSA and CEC standards and of industrial control technologies, and have experience working with CAD software packages, particularly AutoCAD and VISIO.  You possess superior communication skills and have advanced interpersonal and team building skills.  Your organizational skills will enable you to lead project teams and manage multiple projects effectively.   You are a member of, or eligible for membership in, the Association of Professional Engineers of Prince Edward Island.  Experience in wind energy technologies and wind power production projects would be an asset.  This position requires intermittent travel.  You must be able to hold a passport and be willing to work flexible hours.
