Reporting to the Vice-President, Corporate Services, this position will serve as a key member of the management team and will provide a clear vision and human resource management strategy aligned with Holland College’s mission and values. The Director, Human Resource Management will lead the development and implementation of a sustainable strategy to ensure that Holland College maintains a progressive, effective and productive workforce and healthy labour management relations. This position is instrumental in ensuring success through people and has primary responsibility for the strategy, design and implementation of all human resource management initiatives.
This position is well suited to a human resource practitioner with strong professional competencies. A Bachelor or Master degree supplemented with at least seven years experience in both human resource management and labour relations at a medium to large organization is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding communication skills, an ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with all internal stakeholder groups and be considered by peers to be a strong leader. Measures of success for this position include the delivery of strategic human resource management services within a working environment where collaboration, open communication and continuous improvement are valued.
