One of HRA’s founders, Wayne brings his vision and extensive experience in strategic and operational HR planning and implementation to our clients. Prior to HRA, Wayne held various senior executive management portfolios in the public sector including: Deputy Minister of Transportation and Public Works; Assistant Secretary to Executive Council; Director of Employee Relations, Treasury Board; and Chief Director of Administration and Finance for the Department of Education. In addition to this experience in the public sector, Wayne’s skills in strategic, financial and project management and in organizational restructuring are regularly called upon in relation to assignments with HRA’s clients. Wayne has proven he can manage large numbers of employees and has been involved in all aspects of human resource management and labour relations including strategic and operational planning, contract negotiations, recruitment, performance development and grievance handling.
Wayne is the consummate negotiator, knowing how to read signals and how to listen to people. He also has an innate sense of timing. When he isn’t at the negotiating table or building the business, Wayne would like to be found on the Island’s beautiful golf courses or spending time with his treasured grandchildren.
