Shanna is a Registered Professional Recruiter, so it probably isn't surprising that a considerable proportion of her practice is handling recruitments.  However, she is also very interested in the retention aspect of HR practice.  Shanna understands the importance of the impressions made during the recruitment process to the long-term success of a placement.  Her professionalism and level-headed approach means that clients, applicants and candidates are treated efficiently and respectfully.  It's no wonder that her clients are often repeat customers.

Shanna is also an HR consultant experienced in conducting organizational reviews and developing training materials and job descriptions for both public and private sectors, as well as policies and procedures manuals.

Shanna is a past recipient of the Canadian Inter-University Award of Excellence in industrial relations and human resource management, as well as the 2003 recipient of the ACHRA New Human Resources Leader Award.  She remains an active member of HRANS-PEI, as Chair of the Membership Committee, and member of the Program Committee.

When not doing HR work, Shanna enjoys spending time playing with her two little boys.
