Linda enjoys contributing to community life by lending her alto voice to local choirs, volunteering for fundraisers, and by tutoring English as a second language to new immigrants. Her dedication to community is also reflected in her worklife, helping employers build community through progressive labour relations and improving management skills.

After spending the early part of her career as a lawyer in both private and public practice, Linda gravitated into labour relations. Over the past 20 years or so she has represented employers in negotiations, mediation and arbitration, has developed and implemented training programs for supervisors and managers, and advised management personnel and Human Resource professionals dealing with the vast array of employee issues that regularly arise within a workforce. She is particularly pleased to be a certified trainer of the mentalhealthworks programs, including Complex Issues. Clear Solutions, having the opportunity to assist employers manage issues where workplace performance and behaviour intersect with mental or emotional health concerns.  

Linda now works part time to allow more time for community work, for relishing the quiet retreat of her summer cottage overlooking Boughton Island, hiking and other outdoor pursuits.
