Ronald is a senior HRA negotiator and our go-to man for creative problem-solving. Ron regularly leads large contract negotiations, such as province-wide negotiations with nurses and teachers. He also assists other clients, including non-profit organizations with their collective bargaining challenges. He is adept at both conventional and interest-based negotiations, as well as alternative dispute resolution including mediation and mediation-arbitration (a combined process of mediation and binding arbitration) to resolve disputes and settle contracts. In addition to experience as a labour relations and human resource consultant, Ronald also brings a number of years experience in the insurance and financial services industry to clients establishing or rethinking employee benefit issues.
When not negotiating a collective agreement, Ron enjoys his “down” time: downhill skiing to be exact. He is President of Ski PEI, which allows him to support a community organization and spend time with his family. When there’s no snow, he enjoys some light hiking, like the Chilkoot Trail. Rumour has it that the West Coast Trail may be on his future hiking list.
